Model for Improvement: Anti-Racism Framework Guidance
The Anti-Racism Model for Improvement (MFI-AR) is a practical, equity-centred adaptation of the widely used quality improvement (QI) approach. Developed by the RHO and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement through the RHO Maternal and Neonatal Learning Action Network, it helps teams to recognise and address how racism shapes data, decision-making, and service improvement. By embedding anti-racism principles throughout the QI process, the MFI-AR can help ensure efforts do not reinforce inequities to drive safer and more equitable care for minoritised ethnic communities.
